MPEG-2 Transport Stream or M2TS is a video container format commonly used to store high definition videos on Blu-ray discs, AVCHD, Hard-drives and other devices. This format is also known as BDAV (Blu-ray Disc Audio-Video) because of its common use in Blu-ray discs. For optimizing the size of the contents Variable rate (VBR) transport streams are used in this format rather than typical CBR streams.
